A Lifetime of Wear: Full Arch Dentistry

What years of grinding and upper porcelain crowns can do to lower teeth.

Worn lower dentition with interdental spaces (spaces between teeth).

Diagnostic wax-up showing proper height to width ratio of teeth and interdental spaces closed.

Treatment plan includes a 4 unit bridge (#18-21) and 2 implant crowns (#29, 30).

Dentistry can greatly improve quality of life for many people. It's rewarding to be a part of that process, and I enjoy applying Engineering principles to Dentistry.

Stay tuned for more pictures.

Good Lookin' Preparation (via Dr. Tommy Marshall)

Have you ever wondered what a tooth looks like under a crown?  This is a model made from the impression of a tooth prepared for a crown.

By the way, how do you know if your dentist is really good at his work?… When he takes photos to show his colleagues.  Nice work Dr. Marshall!

Not All Dental Work Created Equal

Recently I examined a patient from out of town with the crowns below.  They were so remarkable to me that I just had to document them with pictures.

Compare the above crowns with the ones below.  Remember, not all dental work is created equal.

Dental Implants?

This neck hardware looks mighty similar to dental implants.
